Advocacy Foundation
The purpose of the Lopez Schools Music Foundation is to
enhance the existing K-12 music program at Lopez Schools within its
academic and extracurricular activities.
The foundation will sponsor several public music performance
events each year as fundraisers.
Professional musicians perform for
that purpose, to work directly within the schools normal academic
environment. Their enthusiasm and professionalism
help expose students to the benefits of a structured long-term skills
development.

"I confess that I've never been to Lopez Island. Since I'm geographically challenged, I couldn't find it on a Washington State map. However, I do know that promoter Dean Jacobsen is working overtime to bring the blues to Lopez Island, and he turned first to the Washington Blues Society to rekindle the spark of promoting live nmusic on Lopez earlier this year..."
